Day of Surgery
5:30am
Have to be at surgery facility at 6:15. Procedure is at 8am. I don't think it has set in yet that I am
getting a boob job. Because otherwise I think I would be feeling really nervous. Maybe when I get there it will
start to sink in. But right now I am feeling good. Picked up prescriptions yesterday..Ambien, Cipro, Vicodin
and an nausea medication that they give to people getting chemo..yikes...must be some strong stuff.
I am going to be a drugged out mess.
8:30am
got prepped for surgery, Dr.PG drew the lines on my chest and explained the procedure to me. He was doing a
bilateral incision thru the areolas and under the muscle. Got my IV and didnt freak out this time.
Spoke to the nurses about the anesthesia. They administered it thru my IV and that was the last thing I remembered.
I woke up from surgery close to 10:30. Was completely out of it, started to come around and started feeling tightness
in my chest and some pain. Jeff came in to help me get dressed once all my vitals were back to normal. I started feeling
really nauseous and had to puke in a bag. finished getting dressed and was wheeled to my truck. The ride home was
pretty hard because of the pain I was in.They didnt want to give me pain meds at the surgery center because they said I
was doing so well. Every bump and stopped hurt.
11:30
Arrived home and Jeff helped me into bed. We sat and chilled until my meds took effect.I passed out while he
went to the store and get some things for snacking on and to get me an ice pack. I keep dozing off throughout the day.
7:30
My chest hurts really bad and it feels like an elephant is sitting on it.It feels like I have a broken sternum. I can only
sleep on my back which is giving me a backache even with vicodin. My breasts are swollen up to my collar bone. I just
started my icepack. I am supposed to take some Ambien to help me sleep but am a little hesitant since it is a hallucinogen.
11:00 Starting to feel a little doped out and am really tired.
